Overview

AGM deep cycle batteries from Victron Energy have excellent high current performance they also feature VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) technology meaning that the batteries are sealed with safety valves which will only allow gas to escape in the event of overcharging or cell failure. Batteries with VRLA are maintenance free throughout their lives.

VRLA AGM Batteries

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries are suitable for delivering higher current over a short time compared to Gel batteries as the electrolyte is absorbed into a glass-fibre mat via a capillary action.
